Photographic technique:
To not deform at the portrayed it is recommended to shoot photography at the same portrayed height
If you want to glorify the subject you must to frame from a low-angle shoot. If you want to belittled it, the camera looks down on the subject.
Best lens to portrait are short zoom lens like 105 mm or 135 mm. Big zoom lens allow for bring closer portrayed and take photos of details, a part of the subject ( from 200 to 500 mm+-). Wide angle lens will deform the portrayed (10 to 35 mm+-)
These are theoretical references but in photography, everything can be valid and subject to change; The point is to think always in new ideas and try new photographic things.
Técnica:
Para no deformar al retratado ni crear ningún efecto imprevisto que moleste al resultado final es aconsejable retratar siempre a la misma altura que el sujeto a fotografiar.
Si se desea ensalzar y magnificar al retratado, el contrapicado siempre es efectivo ( fotografiar desde una posición inferior al sujeto, de abajo hacia arriba); si por el contrario se desea empequeñecer, rebajar al sujeto, la fotografía deberá ser tomada desde arriba hacia abajo en un picado.
Los mejores objetivos para retratar son los teles cortos, como el 105 o el 135mm. Los teleobjetivos largos son perfectos para encuadrar porciones del sujeto y/o detalles del mismo ( 200-500mm). Los angulares deformarán al fotografiado provocando diferentes efectos ( 14-35mm+-).
Independientemente de estas referencias teóricas, en fotografía todo puede ser válido y variable: Lo importante es tener siempre ideas y probar cosas nuevas.
