Ploceus velatus
Southern Masked-Weaver or African Masked Weaver is very common throughout Southern Africa, from semi-desert ecosystems to suburban garden and parks in the cities. They nesting from September to January and they use to build 25 nests per season and per individual. Females will finish each nest with soft grass and feathers. /
El tejedor enmascarado vive a lo largo y ancho de Africa meridional y está adaptado a diferentes ecosistemas que van desde las áreas semidesérticas hasta los parques urbanos. El macho tiene varias hembras y construye unos 25 nidos en la época de nidificación de Septiembre a Enero. Las hembras acabarán este trabajo reblandeciendo con plumas y hierba tierna estas construcciones.
